VAPOZEM

Evaporators with Mechanical Vapor Recompression (MVR) Systems for Energy-Efficient ZLD or Industrial Evaporation

VAPOZEM from Diva Envitec Pvt Ltd offers a comprehensive range of evaporation systems designed for energy-efficient concentration, crystallisation, and Zero Liquid Discharge (ZLD). Built around Mechanical Vapor Recompression (MVR) and hybrid evaporation technologies, VAPOZEM significantly reduces steam consumption by recycling vapours, making it ideal for high TDS and high-volume wastewater treatment applications.

VAPOZEM

How It Works

  • Mechanical Vapor Recompression (MVR) - recompresses vapour using electrical energy, recycling latent heat and drastically reducing steam consumption.
  • Thermal Vapor Recompression (TVR) - uses steam ejectors to reuse vapour energy, suitable where high-pressure steam is available.
  • Evaporation mechanisms - includes falling film, forced circulation, and hybrid systems to handle varying feed characteristics and scaling tendencies.
  • Drying & solid handling (ATFD) - agitated thin-film dryers convert concentrated slurry into dry solids for complete ZLD compliance.
  • Retrofit & hybrid integration - existing MEE systems can be upgraded to MVR-based systems for improved energy efficiency and lower operating costs.

Key Features

  • Significant energy savings through vapour recompression
  • Suitable for ZLD, concentration, and crystallisation applications
  • Multiple evaporator configurations for different feed types
  • Handles high TDS, high COD, and viscous streams
  • Retrofit capability for existing evaporation systems
  • Designed for continuous industrial operation
  • Optimised for heat-sensitive and low-temperature applications

Applications

Water & Wastewater / ZLD

  • ZLD systems, saline water, sewage sludge, liquid manure, boiler feedwater

Chemicals & Petrochemicals

  • Petrochemical streams, sulphuric acid, citric acid, acetic acid, PTA, EPDM, butadiene

Oil, Metals & Industrial Recovery

  • Oil recycling, electrolyte baths, recycling of special metals

Pulp, Paper & Biomass Processing

  • Black liquor concentration, paper/wood/pellet/peat drying

Food, Biotech & Agro Processing

  • Starch, sugar, yeast, gelatine, pectins, grain processing, vegetable processing, fruit juices, blood plasma, meat and fish processing

Desalination & Specialty Applications

  • Seawater desalination, high TDS industrial streams

Note

Conventional evaporation systems are energy-intensive. MVR-based systems can reduce steam consumption by up to 80-90% by reusing latent heat, making them a preferred choice for modern ZLD and sustainable industrial operations.
